Tips For Lesson Planning For New Teachers

As a teacher we have some many expectations on how we do are job, it is crazy.  Our district expects us to run our classroom a certain way and our administration has their own opinions.  Parents also want us to run our classroom a certain way.  Ultimately the responsibility of what happens in our classroom falls upon our shoulders and we have to do the best we can with what we got. 

So when it comes to lesson planning keep in mind that you may get pulled in many different directions but you still need to be the captain of your own ship.  

One key words of wisdom I can say is this, "Over planning is better than not having enough material to go the entire class period".  Trust me, I have been there before.
