The Importance of Starting Your Class Right

In real estate the term that makes or breaks a house is "Location, location, location".

In the classroom the phrase that can make or break a class is, "Routines, routines, routines".

I heard a quote that I have adopted as one of my foundational beliefs and it is this, "We don't rise to the level of our goals, but we fall to the level of our systems"!

I love that quote.  Maybe it is because I am fascinated by trying to identify trends and patterns.  

Don't tell my daughter that since she still believes I dress like a Boomer.  

But I think I love that quote so much is because there is so much truth in it.  

So how does that play out in the classroom. 

"Our classroom does not rise to the level of our expectations but falls to the level of our routines". 

So how many routines do we need?  I believe more is better but there is some that will yield greater results and that is what my latest video is about.
