Mastering Time Management for Teachers

People outside the educational field may think teachers have it easy.  I can see why. 

We have 5 hours with students per day. 

We have weekends off. 

We have all major holidays off. 

We also have other days off that most occupations don't have.  

On paper the life of a teacher seems like a breeze, but the reality is that our lives can be so overwhelming. 

Once our students leave we hours our filled up with grading, lesson planning, calling home, meetings, writing reports, and the list goes on and on. 

Even when we are home it is hard to leave our work at work.  The emotional and psychological aspects of the job can easily follow us home. 

And regarding the time off, we don't get paid for the entire year.  We only get paid for 11 months and many teacher have to take on additional work to make ends meet. 

So when it comes to balancing teacher life with life outside the classroom it can get very difficult.
