How to Stop Students Being Late To Class

What would your school if students were habitually late to class?  

We have about 1000 students and on average we had about 400 tardies a day.  That is outrageous.  

Just to clarify I am not talking about students late to school I am talking about students late between classes.   There is no reason for that many tardies. 

Last year I made it a personal quest of mine to lower the amount of tardies.  

I spent countless hours talking the problem and we saw huge results.  

Unfortunately the progress we made last year did not carry over into this year so we had to start over.  

The leadership team at my school went back to the drawing board and created an even better system.  

Let me just drop this quick fact. 

The first week of school we had 436 tardies and after implementing our we are now down to 106.  

That is 66% decrease.  How amazing is that.
