Do you have the right personality for teaching?

I was talking with my mom this past weekend and she always brings up that she is the first one to suggest that I should be a teacher

“I always said you should be a teacher because you are so patient”.

Those are her exact words.  

Now don’t get me wrong, patience is important in teaching but, after doing this 20 years I understand that it is a very small part of teaching.  

That leads me to the question. 

What personality is best for teaching?

Now if I am 100% transparent my personality is very introverted and analytical.  I can spend days just sitting by myself and looking at charts and graphs.  

And to be honest those two qualities are not very conducive to teaching.
