Classroom Superpowers: How to Make Our Classroom Awesome!

Have you ever wondered how to make our classroom a great place to learn? It's not just about having fun lessons, it's about everyone being respectful and following the rules.

I use something called Progressive Discipline. It's like a step-by-step plan to help students make good choices. It is a system in which you find the appropriate discipline in order to alter behavior.  

For example:

I first might write a student's name on the board and if that does not work then I might put a check mark next to their name.   If that does not work then I might want to have a quick chat with the student after class.   

If things still don't improve, I will have the student attend a lunch detention and I will call home.  

The goal is not to get anyone in trouble. It's to make sure everyone feels safe and ready to learn. Remember, even little things matter, like putting your backpack away and staying in your seat. When we all try our best, our classroom is so much better.
