One of the biggest pet peeves I have regarding becoming a teacher is all of the courses we take that talk about different strategies.  

And when we finally make it into the classroom we are hit with the reality that none of the makes a difference if you can't get little Susie to stop talking or get Johnny to sit down. 

So much time is wasted on theories when in reality we should be preparing teachers for how to deal with behavior issues in the classroom. 

90% of what we learn in college should focus on and practicing classroom management strategies.
